Dip Ingredients
4ouncesCream Cheesesoftened to room temperature
8ouncesWhipped Creamor Whipped Topping in a container tub
1cupVanilla YogurtRegular yogurt, not Greek
½cupSprinklesPlus more for topping. You can use jimmies/sprinkles or the round ones.
Instructions
In a bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoon Cornstarch and 2 cups All-purpose Flour.
Raw flour must be heat treated before eating for food safety reasons. Heat your oven to 350℉ (177℃). Spread the flour mixture on a baking sheet and bake for about 5 minutes or until 160℉. Alternatively, you can put the flour in the microwave for 2-30 second intervals, stirring well between them and checking the temperature. Allow to cool completely.
Bring 4 ounces Cream Cheese to room temperature. In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the cream cheese and 8 ounces Whipped Cream until smooth.
To the cream cheese mixture, add the cooled flour, 1 cup Granulated Sugar, 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract, and half of the heavy cream. Mix, gradually adding in more cream until you’ve reached the desired texture for the dip. With a spoon, mix in the ½ cup Sprinkles.
Place in a serving bowl and top with extra sprinkles, if desired. Let the dip chill in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes. Serve chilled dip with animal crackers or your favorite dippers.
Notes
*Boxed Mix SubstitutionThis recipe can be made either with a single box of vanilla cake mix or funfetti cake mix, or from scratch above. If you use a boxed mix, you can skip the sugar, flour, cornstarch, and vanilla but I would still want more sprinkles.
