    • Recipe: Cheesecake Dip

Get ready for a drool-worthy dip that will be the star of every gathering! This no-bake cheesecake dip is a must-try, perfect for poolside parties or holiday events. Based off of my cheesecake rice krispie treats, its so good I could eat it by the spoonful like my favorite cream cheese frosting.

With a creamy, tangy flavor reminiscent of cheesecake, I am obsessed. Plus, it’s incredibly easy and quick to whip up in just 10 minutes or less.

Whether you go for the irresistible caramel pecan version or choose from other tasty variations, this 5-ingredient dip is a crowd-pleaser. Grab your favorite dippers and get ready to indulge in pure bliss -it’s a guaranteed hit!

    Ingredients and Variations

Ingredients and dipper ideas for a no-bake cream cheese dip.

Find the full printable recipe with measurements below. Most of the ingredients are pretty straightforward:

Cream cheese: This is the real star of the show and is what makes this dip so creamy and tangy. I use regular, but you could use whipped or Neuchâtel.

Whipped Topping: I use cool whip from the freezer section (not spray whipped topping!). It lends a creaminess and lightness to the overall dip. However, you can substitute greek yogurt as well.

Powdered sugar: This sugar adds just the right of sweetness, but also helps to stiffen the mixture.

Light brown sugar: I love the depth of flavor brown sugar adds and I highly suggest using both sugars to achieve the perfect balance.

Vanilla extract: Just a little bit helps balance the tang of the cream cheese.

    Flavorful Variations

This recipe is quite versatile. I keep it straightforward vanilla, but you can use other flavor options to customize the cheesecake fruit dip according to taste preferences. Some examples include:

    • Decadent Chocolate: Chocolate and cheesecake are the “it couple” of dessert pairings. Add chocolate chips and/or your favorite melted baking chocolate for a cookie-dough inspired cheesecake dip sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.
    • Fruity Swirl Delight: Stir in some fruit pie filling, jam, or fruit puree for a pretty swirl. Raspberry and strawberry are my favorites.
    • Caramel Cheesecake Fruit Dip: Garnish your dip with chopped pecans and a generous drizzle of caramel sauce. Swirl in mini chocolate chips or chocolate syrup for a tempting Turtle-inspired twist.
    • Chocolate Peanut Butter: Add creamy peanut butter and chopped peanut butter cups for a craveable flavor reminiscent of my No Bake Peanut Butter Balls.
    • Cherry Cheesecake: Create this variation by dolloping cherry pie filling on top of the dip and sprinkling graham cracker crumbs around the edges.
    • Seasonal Sensations: Use seasonal spices like salted caramel and 1 teaspoon cinnamon, or pumpkin puree and 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice to create festive variations.
    • Other Mix-in Ideas: Experiment with flavored cream cheeses like cinnamon, strawberry, or blueberry. Add walnuts or pecans for a bit of crunch. Sprinkles are a slam dunk for any festive fare.

    Expert Tips

    • Allow the cream cheese to reach room temperature. This is critical for smooth texture and consistent taste.
    • Easy to prep ahead. Make a day or two ahead and cover tightly in the refrigerator.
    • Double the recipe for a crowd. This recipe makes approximately 1 ¾ cups. I doubled the batch for these photos. Don’t worry, not one delicious bite was wasted!

    FAQs

How long should cheesecake dip sit out before serving?

Unlike classic cheesecake, best served at room temperature, this fruit dip can be served immediately from the refrigerator. Refrigerate after 2 hours because of the dairy ingredients.

How do I soften cream cheese quickly?

Place your foil-wrapped cream cheese on a plate. Microwave the water in a large bowl until it’s almost boiling. Dump the water and wipe the bowl dry. Place the bowl upside down over the cream cheese. Repeat the process with new water if it doesn’t soften within 5-10 minutes.

    Instructions

    • With an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth. If the cream cheese is lumpy, it wasn't softened all the way through. You can try to pop it in the microwave for 10 seconds and re-stir or wait several minutes for the lumps to come to room temperature and mix until smooth.
    • Add in confectioners' sugar, brown sugar, cool whip and vanilla. Mix until well combined.
    • With a spoon, stir in mix-ins as desired and sprinkle with any topping such as crushed graham crackers or mini chocolate chips. Keep dip refrigerated until ready to serve.

This might be the perfect cheesecake as easy as it is! I added some crushed pecans and caramel syrup to the top for a pecan praline like topping.
